Day 1 & 2, Nashville & Tulsa

Okay, so sorry about not posting yesterday. We got to the hotel at 12:15 am, then I couldn't get online because I didn't know the number you have to get at the front desk. So, here goes:
We left Nashville at 2:00, and drove all the way through Arkansas and into Tulsa, Oklahoma. We have 10 people in our van, and there are 4 (and all the suitcases) in the other. There are 2 people on each 3 seater bench, so we have plenty of elbow room. I'll get pictures of everyone in costume and normal looking soon. When we hit Arkansas, the landscape immediately grew flat. It's still flat. I've never been out west at all, not even out of Tennessee, so it is quite different. Here's a picture of the sunset in Arkansas: Here's us on the bus:

So, we did the first show today. We left the hotel at 10:45 this morning and drove about 5 minutes to the venue. We left there at 10:50 tonight. Here are some pics of the place:It was super cool. They were so nice!! They gave us lunch and dinner and brought us a big snack table. It was a great stage, and so much fun!! Everything went well. There were a few mess-ups, but there will always be mess-ups. We didn't get changed in time for the very last scene. We go off after the coronation, then we come back on in about a minute and a half dressed as if we've been in Narnia for 20 years. Jonathan, Christopher and I didn't have our crowns on, and Lucy didn't even get her robe on, just her crown. I have a line about us "taking off our crowns so that they will not become torn or damaged", and only one of us had one on!! Oh well. Chris came on a bit after the rest of us, so we had to ad lib a little. But it wasn't too bad. All part of acting!! :)

Anyhow, great fun. Here are some pics of us after the show, when we were signing autographs in the lobby:

Yeah, my mic is goofy...and it didn't even work for 3/4ths of the show!

The shirts say "Have you been to Narnia?" on the front and "I have!" on the back. This is a link to the agency that booked the tour : http://www.jeffroberts.com/ Search for artist David Payne. And this is the drama company's website: http://www.davidpaynedrama.com/ There is a little preview of the show on here from when they did it 2 years ago.

So, tomorrow we're headed to Edmond, which is about an hour and a half away. We're supposed to leave at 10ish, and I have no idea if we will go the the hotel before the show or not. We also don't know when the show is. I guess we'll find out tomorrow, about 4 hours before the show starts. :)

Anyhow, we miss you all!! More to come later...

  2. Wow. I SO wish I was there with you guys. Who is that guy behind Jonathan in the bus? He looks familiar.
Well, Rileigh and Rob and Anna and I had some similar experiences in that scene, so I know how you feel.
I CAN'T WAIT for you guys to come to Nashville.

  4. Yes, first run through with everything. We were all a little nervous. :)
The guy on the bus is Thad Douglas, who plays Mr. Beaver. I'll get an indiviual picture of everyone and tell you who they are soon!
Don't know about videoing...I'll have to ask that today...
Wish you guys were here!! I got you a postcard in Arkansas...but you have already been there. It has the Razorbacks on it. :)
    See ya!

  5. Looks like yall are having a great time. Tell Jon the trash is running over and the grass needs mowing. Tell Christopher there are dishes in the sink. Let Elizabeth know the floor in the kitchen needs mopping. Allison, there are clothes that need to come up from the dryer. Tell Mom it took me a while, but I got enough vegetables out of the refridgerator to get the fridge packs of coke in there. Love, Dad

  6. Ha ha ha ha!! That's hilarious!! Chris says it's not his fault if there are dishes in the sink, because he did the dishes before we left.
    Miss you all!!
