Day 3: Edmond, OK

Well, right now I am sitting at the hotel, at the table with the laptop and dinner (which is Subway that we got before the show...about 5:30, and are just now getting to eat! Subway...Eat Fresh!), with my foot up on the back of a chair. I wiped out on the ramp when we were loading the trailer after the show. I was carrying the long piece of the stone table and somehow my right foot twisted up under me and I just plopped. I twisted my ankle a bit, tore my jeans a little on the knee and scuffed my new shoe. :( But it's okay. It will be better tomorrow. :)
The show was good tonight, the tech part was really great, and just a few sound/light things. We didn't use the robes at the end, so that part was just great. I forgot to fix the red eye before I put these pics on, but here they are anyway:
This place had the most amazing costume room!! I didn't even know it was there until after the show. Mom told me I just had to go look at it, and when I got in the doorway my mouth dropped open. These pics do not in any way do the room justice, but you sort of get the idea. The second one is taken from the top of the staircase in the first one. Up there the walls are lined with costumes and the floor is lined with shoes. It was too dark for me to see how far it went, but it was a long way. One of the walls was lined with hats, and there was fabric everywhere. Sorry the second one is sideways, but I forgot to flip it before I put it on and I don't know how to do it once it's on here.
Well, it is 1:45 and we have to leave at 8:00 tomorrow morning for a 6 hour drive to Lubbok, Texas. More to come...

Day 1 & 2, Nashville & Tulsa

Okay, so sorry about not posting yesterday. We got to the hotel at 12:15 am, then I couldn't get online because I didn't know the number you have to get at the front desk. So, here goes:
We left Nashville at 2:00, and drove all the way through Arkansas and into Tulsa, Oklahoma. We have 10 people in our van, and there are 4 (and all the suitcases) in the other. There are 2 people on each 3 seater bench, so we have plenty of elbow room. I'll get pictures of everyone in costume and normal looking soon. When we hit Arkansas, the landscape immediately grew flat. It's still flat. I've never been out west at all, not even out of Tennessee, so it is quite different. Here's a picture of the sunset in Arkansas: Here's us on the bus:

So, we did the first show today. We left the hotel at 10:45 this morning and drove about 5 minutes to the venue. We left there at 10:50 tonight. Here are some pics of the place:It was super cool. They were so nice!! They gave us lunch and dinner and brought us a big snack table. It was a great stage, and so much fun!! Everything went well. There were a few mess-ups, but there will always be mess-ups. We didn't get changed in time for the very last scene. We go off after the coronation, then we come back on in about a minute and a half dressed as if we've been in Narnia for 20 years. Jonathan, Christopher and I didn't have our crowns on, and Lucy didn't even get her robe on, just her crown. I have a line about us "taking off our crowns so that they will not become torn or damaged", and only one of us had one on!! Oh well. Chris came on a bit after the rest of us, so we had to ad lib a little. But it wasn't too bad. All part of acting!! :)

Anyhow, great fun. Here are some pics of us after the show, when we were signing autographs in the lobby:

Yeah, my mic is goofy...and it didn't even work for 3/4ths of the show!

The shirts say "Have you been to Narnia?" on the front and "I have!" on the back. This is a link to the agency that booked the tour : http://www.jeffroberts.com/ Search for artist David Payne. And this is the drama company's website: http://www.davidpaynedrama.com/ There is a little preview of the show on here from when they did it 2 years ago.

So, tomorrow we're headed to Edmond, which is about an hour and a half away. We're supposed to leave at 10ish, and I have no idea if we will go the the hotel before the show or not. We also don't know when the show is. I guess we'll find out tomorrow, about 4 hours before the show starts. :)

Anyhow, we miss you all!! More to come later...

Welcome to Narnia!

Welcome to our blog! This is where you can find out what's going on with the Hearns this summer. We will be touring the USA doing a play of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Four of us are in the show -- Jonathan as Peter, Allison as Susan, Christopher as Edmund, and Elizabeth as the Bird and other small roles -- and our mom is helping with sound cues and ticket tables and such. I hope to post here everyday, but you'll definitely hear from me at least every 2 or 3 days. I'm sure the others will have things to say, so you'll hear from them too. We are so excited about this trip. We're this happy:

That's me with the lamppost :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Anyhow, have fun reading about us!! We'll miss all of our friends back home, so please do comment!! You can also email me (Allison) or mom. Have a great summer!!
